Suzu Kurokawa (黒川すず, Kurokawa Suzu) is one of the main characters of the second season of Kiratto Pri☆Chan. She is a 1st-year student at Kirarigaoka Middle School. She is a cool-type idol, whose preferred brand is DANCE & STREET.

Appearance

Suzu has sharp, slanted gold eyes and shoulder length, dark grey hair with many strands sticking out. Her bangs and forelocks are spread out and appear messy in varying thickness, and she has a long skinny curled cowlick that sticks down.

Personality

A boyish, quiet type who is passionate when it comes to dancing. She desires to be cool like her brother because she looks up to him. She's also a hard-worker and is very competitive.

At the start, she acted rather distant and kept more to herself. As the series progressed, she gained a more friendly attitude as well as being more open about her emotions.

Relationships

Maria Kanamori

Suzu's friend and teammate in Ring Marry.

At first, she didn't get along well with Maria, due to their different personalities and interests. In episode 57, when Naru asked them to make a video together, she wasn't happy to do one with Maria and created obstacles in hopes of Maria will give up on wanting to partner up with her. Despite the ordeal, Maria managed to push through, and upon seeing her efforts and determination, she changes her mind about Maria.

Naru Shiawase

Naru watches over and acts as a mentor to Suzu and Maria.

Michael Kurokawa

Michael is her eldest brother. She greatly admires his skills, and he is one of the reasons why Suzu loves to dance.

Yusuke Kurokawa

Yusuke is her older brother. Suzu wished to create a team consisting of her and her brothers, but due to growing rifts between the siblings, this didn't happen. She would always think that he and Mike were cool. After he quit dancing, Suzu lost some of her admiration for him but later realizes that he chose cooking because it was where he shined brightest. Suzu contributed to this realization without realizing it.

Mel Shido

She is astonished and a little envious of Mel's ability to pick things up quickly. They typically get along pretty well after coming to a mutual understanding of each other's abilities.

Sara Midorikawa

As shown during the last Daia Festival, Suzu gets competitive with Sara over who is cooler. During the festival, she admits (in her mind) that Sara is the coolest (cool idol).

Rabbily

The two first met when she and Maria returned from Broadway. After Rabbily tells them her dilemma, Maria and Suzu decide to help her find her master, but to no avail. Before Rabbily could be returned into her PriTama GO, Maria and Suzu both decide to take in Rabbily as their mascot.

Etymology

Kurokawa (黒川) - Kuro (黒) means "black" while kawa (川) means "river". Put together, it means "black river". Kuro is a reference to her dark hair.

Suzu (すず) - Due to being written in hiragana, there is no specific meaning to her name. It can mean "small bell" (鈴) or "nice and cool/refreshing" (涼).
