Gee, golly. We're in for a treat tonight, because this is the most hype episode of the series.. ever! The truth will be revealed! Luluna will be overthrown! This is the big one!
The episode starts off with.. Team Meltic, Team Kira RabiPan (minus KiracCHU), and Team Kawaii doing farmwork. Remember the part of the Episode 140 review where I said:
"I’m sure in the next episode, they’ll be done with farm work and realise that Mirai is stuck in Luluna’s realm."
Well, everyone (execpt Team Kiratts and Alice + Solulu) is still doing farmwork, and now they're giving away some.. sacks.. to the Eggman's Robots!
Meanwhile, Team Kiratts + Solulu and Alice fall into Luluna's Realm. After brushing themselves off, they find this safe thing.. not sure what to call it, but I think things are gonna get CRAZY! The gang traverse through a creepy forest, and Emo being scared actually makes her cute. Emo then steps on a thorn, causing her to experience pain and a jumpscare at the same time. It's revealed that a thorn creature was the cause of this, and Team Kiratts and Alice run like the wind. But UH OH! There's a cliff, and they stop JUST in the nick of time... but then it breaks apart and they fall anyway. KiracCHU to the rescue! They hold onto KiracCHU's body, just like a balloon.. but the effect wares off and they FALL TO THEIR DOOM! Solulu then.. has an epiphany! HE ACTUALLY REGAINED HIS MEMORIES!! OH MY GOODNESS!! Turns out, in the earlier episodes, Solulu had a brain drain and forgot some stuff.. like how Luluna became so VILE and TWISTED. Turns out he and Luluna bickered while Alice and Eve were in their baby days. Luluna wanted to erase Solulu's memories just so she could ACTUALLY GET REVENGE. Why am I referring to Solulu as a guy? Well, he looks and sounds like one.. that's for sure.
After all that they re-encouter with the thorn creature, walk along a very narrow path (where it's revealed that Emo is scared of heights), and then climb up a thorny beanstalk to reach the underground door that Luluna didn't know about. Speaking of Luluna, she's undergoing Sanity Slippage for some reason and is now capable of giving everyone nightmares. She's telling Eve to handover her earpiece, but Eve objects to that and tests Luluna's sanity.
Suddenly, Team Kiratts, Alice and Solulu have finally arrived for the final fight! (Emo's eyes are green like Rinka's in this scene, instead of the cyan they are in other scenes) Alice tells Luluna that what she's doing is wrong. Mirai agrees with Alice. Rinka tells Luluna that she's supposed to be a Jerk With a Heark of Gold, and Emo tells Luluna that now she's acting like a Jerk With a Heart of Jerk. Luluna's sanity slip really starts to show.. and then Eve agrees with everyone, which cause Luluna's sanity to slip faster than it has ever gone before. Luluna is angry at Eve for now doing PriChan.. and Solulu finishes Luluna's sanity with "Luluna, Alice and Eve have a bond that's inseperable. YOU CAN'T DESTROY IT!!". This was it: Luluna had enough. Her fury awakens and she literally tangles Alice and Eve with a vine. She grabs Eve's earpiece and is about to take it off from Eve, but Mirai tries to stop her.. only to trip over. The glasses that she was wearing above her head (turns out that we forgot Meganii's glasses) fly up into the air, causing Emo and KiracCHU to be mad at Mirai she screwed up. But turns out Mirai didn't screw up; Meganii's glasses (or Meganii himself, because he's a mascot) catch Luluna's ears, causing Luluna to panic. After that Alice and Eve were free from Luluna's vines. With their united power they perform a new song: Ad-Lib Destiny.
Ad-Lib Destiny is another duet, and probably one of the best songs of the anime. The melody is kinda fantastic, the singers give it their all, and the song is literally catchy as heck.. and I think it's gonna be on the Kiratto PriChan S3 OSC: Songs from Pri-Chan Land album. Anyways, we then get into the ultimate finale: the ending.. and for one reason:
Luluna actually dies. I'm of course joking about this, because Luluna does become a Pretty Mascot at the end.. but seriously, this has got to be the most dramatic end to an episode ever. So now that Luluna has weakened (and has now became an Anti-Hero, like every other main antagonist in the Pretty Series), everyone lived happily ever after. The end. You're too cool!!
So that was Episode 141, the biggest, most hype episode in the series.. until season 4 comes along with it's own big-hitter.
My favourite part: Luluna. She's gotta be the single most greatest part of the episode. She comes off as scary and epic, and Hibiku Yamamura nails it as Luluna becomes the best villain in the Pretty Series, even more so than Galala and Hibiki. Hibiku Yamamura also nailed her sanity slippage where she really started becoming a Large Ham.
My least favourite part: The reason why Solulu and Luluna became rivals in the first place. Solulu really must've let his guard down, and all that bickering over babysitting. That's so stupid.
Overall: It's the best episode of Season 3, and probably the most dramatic. Like, seriously, Luluna is such a great character here.. and Hibiku Yamamura really nailed her and her Villainous Breakdown. The episode had a pretty good new song and it featured the highest stakes ever in a Pretty Series episode, alongside Episode 139 of PriPara. It's a shame that Solulu and Luluna's rivalry had a really stupid origin story, but hey! It just works.
The next episode is a Breather Episode.. and it's called: Eve opens up a shop.. what the- screw this. I'm outta 'ere!
