Welcome back, everybody! To Kiratto Recap!! Last time, we looked at the Moonlight Magic Area's new representive! Now, let's see how Yui is doing!
Episode 145 starts off with.. Eve getting worried over a helicopter. Someone jumps out of the helicopter, and- HOLY JESUS! WHAT IS THAT! WHAT THE TRUCK IS THAT?! A man/woman with a metal box for hair?!! What were the character designers smoking!?! Crack?! Anyway, the auditor tells Eve they have to shut down the Dreamy Rice Area (or as I like to call it: the Rice Farm), but Yui doesn't want the Rice Farm/Dreamy Rice Area to be bulldozed. So, the auditor gives Yui a whole day to increase the popularity of the Dreamy Rice Area to 100.
Yui makes a lotta rice and all that jazz, but Kuma (Yui's mascot) overhears some people saying that the Dreamy Rice Area has rice that tastes like krupp. Kuma tries to hide the negative reception the rice had. Yui then realizes the Dreamy Rice Area had a bad rap, and- HOLY JESUS!! SHE'S DEAD ON THE INSIDE, FOLKS!! QUICK!! CALL THE AMBULANCE!! AND NOW SHE'S LYING ON THE GROUND, OH-HO-HO-NOOOO! Talk about a Funny Aneurysm Moment when I said that the Rice Farm is out of place in PriChan Land! Anyway, afterwards, Dia and Saki (the latter is called Nijinosaki) teleport to the Dreamy Rice Area/The Rice Farm. Saki's reaction to Dia's teleporting powers is hilarious (and cute)!
Saki: Woooooaaah!! Dia, where am I? Please tell me! I'm so flustered!
Dia: I teleported you to the Dreamy Rice area-damon!
Saki: Wow. I didn't know you could do that, Dia.
Anyways, Dia and Saki see Yui's "dead-on-the-inside" body, and they give Kuma a pep-talk. They tell Kuma (and Yui) not to give up (and to also take criticism well), and Yui's dead-on-the-inside body gets up, feeling determined, and- HOLY JESUS!! SHE'S GOT THE DREAMY EYES!! AAAAAAAAAAH!! RUN!! Anyway, remember this back during the Episode 139 review?
Luna: Laala might come for the 4th season, I hope.
Well, guess what?!! The theory of Kuma being Laala's alternate universe counterpart has been confirmed as true! Which means, relatively speaking, that sentence I said about Laala coming later on in the series has become Hilarious (and Heartwarming) in Hindsight! Then Yui and Laala perform Brand New Happiness, and everyone likes that! Also, Laala has a Pretty Mascot form.. and she looks kawaii! And now, the Dreamy Rice Area is saved!
And that was Episode 145, the episode Laala appears in. Not a very bad episode, I'm impressed. This was a pretty good episode for Yui, for whom I hated at her first episode. But anyways..
My favourite part: Dia and Saki. They're so epic when they give Kuma/Laala a pep-talk on how criticism can actually help you.
My least favourite part: The scenes with the auditor.
Overall: This is a marvellous episode! Dia and Saki talking about taking criticism well, the fact that Yui's mascot is Laala, and the performance are all amazing to watch.
What about the next episode, then? Wait... Mel's going into outer space?! Melpan thinks it's the end of Meltic Star?! Mel has parents?!! The trees are weird today?!! Screw this, I'm outta 'er-
Angry Mob: Let's get Luna! Let's get Luna! Let's get Luna!
Lou: Torches! Get your torches here! (everyone gets a torch each)
Angry Mob: Let's get Luna! Let's get Luna! Let's get Luna!
Harold: Pitchforks! You can't be an angry mob without pitchforks! (everyone gets a pitchfork each)
Angry Mob: Let's get Luna! Let's get Luna! Let's get Luna!
Peterson: Cotton Candy! Get your cotton candy! Can't throw a riot without cotton candy!
(everyone stops chanting, and beats up Peterson)
Angry Mob: Let's get Luna! Let's get Luna! Luna! Luna! Lunakillers!! (everyone arrives at Luna's studio)
Woah, woah, woah! Who are you, and what are you doing here?!
Rioter #1: We are the Lunakillers!
Rioter #76: And we're here threatening to kill you if you don't review Episode 146!
UUUUUUUUUUUGGGGH!! Okay, fine. I'll review Episode 146.
Episode 146 starts with Anju having a group meeting with Mr. and Mrs. Kagayaki, HakucCHO, Yui, and Yui's mascot, Laala.. about the Queen's Grand Prix. (the event that I thought was called the Illuminage Cup) Meanwhile, Meltic Star are training for.. the Queen's Grand Prix... BY RUNNING ON TOP OF A MERRY GO-ROUND. Mel runs like Sonic the Hedgehog, and Melpan helps out by giving Anna and Sara water bottles, and drying up Mel's sweat. Suddenly, Meganii has come to make an announcement. Shadow is a- no, not going there. Meganii announces that somethin' is crashing down at breakneck speed! It's revealed to be a rocket. And it's revealed that Mel has parents! They want Mel to participate on the PriChan Grand Universe Project, a huge project to connect the whole universe with PriChan. But, there's a twist. Mel cannot go with Anna and Sara. And Mel says how much she's going to miss them. Mel then hops on a helicopter to a space station.
Meanwhile, at Akagi Castle, Anna and Sara are both depressed. But Anna seems to not want Mel to go to space.. to which Sara doesn't want her to go to space but she has to anyway.. and- HOLY SWEET LIVING DIVINE JESUS, ANNA'S ABOUT TO CRY!! Sara says Mel going into space is for the best. Melpan is worried, thinking about Meltic Star being disbanded.. and then.. EUREKA! THAT'S IT! Melpan has a Eureka moment and decides to go to MelMel's house, to persuade Mel from not going into space.. but that fails.
Later, after the commercial break, Anna and Sara can't train properly without Mel. Melpan goes into her- HOLY JESUS!! KiracCHU! Dia!! WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING IN MELPAN'S HOUSE!?! Even Melpan is shocked! Dia (or should I say, Black Dia) tells Melpan that Mel can into space, but cannot goodbye (countryballs reference). So, Dia tells Melpan that Melpan should tell Anna and Sara to perform as a goodbye present.
Meanwhile, Anna is so depressed that- HOLY JESUS!! Her twintails! They're droopy!! NOOOO!! Anyways, Melpan tells Anna and Sara they should perform to say goodbye to MelMel, and they do.. but not without Mel. So technically speaking, they should perform Comectic Silhouette, right? Hahahahahaha- NO. They instead perform Merry Merry Fantasia instead. What a waste for Comectic Silhouette. Anyways.. Mel comes back from space, saying.. something. I really can't understand Japanese without subtitles. Maybe she's saying the project was a failure or a success or still a work in progress or I don't know. But now, Meltic Star is back, BABEH!!
And that's Episode 146, the one where Anna and Sara cannot into space. It's kinda good.. but not as good as Episode 145.
My favourite moment: Mel. She's been hit with character development so hard this episode.
My least favourite moment: Merry Merry Fantasia. Why bother performing that, when you could've perform Comectic Silhouette?!! That would've been nostalgia, and fitting!!
Overall: It's one of the weaker Season 3 episodes. Mel has matured and has character development, but that doesn't stop Merry Merry Fantasia from being the most out of place song for an episode, ever.
Okay, so what's next? YUI?!! A MOVIE?!! EMO?!! Screw this, I'm outta 'er-
Lunakillers: Let's get Luna! Let's get Luna! Let's get Luna!
Lou: Torches! Get your torches here! (everyone gets a torch each)
Lunakillers: Let's get Luna! Let's get Luna! Let's get Luna!
Harold: Pitchforks! You can't be an angry mob without pitchforks! (everyone gets a pitchfork each)
Lunakillers: Let's get Luna! Let's get Luna! Let's get Luna!
Peterson: Cotton candy! Get your cotton candy! Can't throw a riot without cotton candy!
(everyone stops chanting, and beats up Peterson)
Lunakillers: Let's get Luna! Let's get Luna! Luna! Luna! Lunakillers!! (everyone arrives at Luna's studio)
Seriously?!! You guys again?!! WHAT DO YOU WANT NOW?!!
Rioter #85: We want you to review Episode 147!
Rioter #474: Otherwise, we will kill you!
But that episode hasn't even come out yet! I'll review it after the episode airs in Japan!
Rioter #854: Okay, fine!
Rioter #75: In the meantime, we'll kill you!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!! MAKE IT STOP!! THE PAIN!! THE PAIN IS GETTING WORSE!! We'll be back with more Kiratto Recap, after these messages! OOOF!! OOWW!!
(insert commercial break)
(worse for wear) Wel-coom baaaaaawk toooooooo duuuuuuuuh shooooooooooe. Eff yoo wanna noe wah em speekeeng lack this, I wuss bee-ten oop bah duuuuuh Looooo-naaaaaaah-Keeeel-ERRRRRRRRRRRRSSS. Ooooh, and em a tyred aaassss wall. (shakes head) Anyway, let's review Episode 147.. now that it's released!
Episode 147 starts with the Kiratts finding out that a new attraction is being built in the Dreamy Rice area/the Rice Farm area. They go to the Rice Farm area, to find out that they're building a cinema there. The rest of the episode is them watching a movie about KiracCHU being turned into cheese.. and that in order to return to her original self, she must watch performances. Here's the list of performances seen in this episode:
- A Promising Sensation
- Brand New Happiness
- Carnival of Mischief
- Fortune Carat
After Fortune Carat was performed the movie ends, and KiracCHU has turned into Silk-chan. KiracCHU wants to see the real ending, and I wanna see it too! Meganii said they ran out of budget, and Meltic Star is training for the Queen's Grand Prix. Anju says that she can do somethin' to make up for the lackluster ending! Oh, boy! What is it?
... ... ..........
..She turns herself into the Phoenix Mask.
... ... ..........
...What the truck?!! This was Anju's best idea?!!
... .. .... ... .... .. ......
...GRRRRRRRRRRR!!! SHE'S A SWAN! SHE'S A SWAAAAAN!! CAN'T YA' SEE IT NOW?!! SHE'S A FREAKING SWAAAAAAAAAAAAN!! NOT A PHOENIX, A SWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!! I HAVE HAD IT! I QUIT!!
And that, my friends, concludes Episode 147, one of the worst episodes of Season 3. However, there's one scene I have to give credit where credit is due, and that is..
My favourite moment: That ending scene with Solulu and Luluna. Picture this: The cinema has closed for the day, and now it's raining. Luluna is taking shelter from the rain, after being turned into a Pretty Mascot by the Kiratts. It's so melancholical. And then.. Solulu arrives, and offers her a hearty handshake. Luluna accepts this, and therefore Luluna makes up with Solulu.. wait!

My least favourite moment: Everything else leading to the ending. It's slow, monotonous, and the ending is the only thing saving this episode from being the worst. My least favourite episode of the Pretty Series was PriPara Episode 123.
Overall: This episode is a slow sloppy mess of 4 songs, plus a cameo from the worst Kiratts song to exist (Super Cutie Super Girl), and it features Anju as a phoenix and NOT A SWAN! The ending, however? One of my favourite endings to an episode, Solulu's just badass making up with Luluna.
Next up, is the Queen's Grand Prix, and it will be covered in full! ..as long as the episodes are released, that is. Until next time, I'm outta 'ere!
